Statement of Faith
-
We believe the Bible is God’s true and perfect Word. It reveals God’s truth and directs how we live. The Bible is alive and active, and essential for every believer, for through it we are rooted in through, built up in faith, and equipped to follow Jesus in daily life. We believe that the Bible is God’s unchanging Word for every generation. As individuals and as a church, we seek to be wholly shaped by its truth.
2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:19-21, Proverbs 30:5-6

We believe in the one living and true, who exists eternally in three persons; Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Distinct in personhood and role, yet equal in glory, united in purpose, and fully sharing the one divine nature. The Father is revealed in Scripture as Creator and sustainer of all things; the Son, Jesus Christ, as our Redeemer who became fully human, lived without sin and died for our salvation, and rose again; and the Holy Spirit as our Helper, who gives new life, dwells within believers, and empowers us for holy living. The Trinity is central to our faith, our worship, and our understanding of God’s work in the world.
John 1:1-3, Matthew 28:19, 2 Corinthians 13:14

We believe God the Father is the source of all life and the Creator of all things, seen and unseen. He is all-powerful, all-knowing, and perfectly good, and sovereign over all things. He is perfect in holiness, wisdom, power and love. As a loving Father, Ge cares deeply for His people and sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to save us and restore our relationship with Him. Through Jesus, He saves us all who come to Him and turn away from sin. God the Father is always faithful, just and worthy of our obedience, trust and worship.
Genesis 1:1, Colossians 1:16, 2 Corinthians 6:18, Matthew 6:9

We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully human conceived by the Holy Spirit. We believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles and teachings. He died on the cross for our sins, and rose again on the third day to bring new life to all who trust in Him. Through His life, death and resurrection, He has reconciled us to God. He now reigns in heaven, interceding for His people, and will one day return to renew all things - restoring creation, establishing justice, and bringing His eternal kingdom.
Matthew 1:18-25, Luke 1:35, Matthew 14:33, 1 Corinthians 15:3-4
-
We believe the Holy Spirit, our Helper, gives new spiritual life to believers, indwelling each follower of Jesus from the moment of salvation. He empowers us to live holy lives, producing fruit of the Spirit, and guides us into all truth, teaching and reminding us of God’s Word. We believe The Spirit gives spiritual gifts to believers to build up the church and equips us to live out our faith with boldness and love, empowering us to witness effectively to the world.
Acts 1:8, 1 Corinthians 12:4-11, John 14:26, John 16:7-11, Galatians 5:22-23

We believe that Salvation is God’s free gift, restoring our broken relationship with Him by bringing forgiveness of sin and new life, made possible through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We are saved by grace alone, not by anything we do, but through faith in Him. Through this salvation, we are reconciled to God, set free from the penalty and power of sin, and welcomed into His family as His adopted children. From the moment we believe, the Holy Spirit begins a lifelong work of transformation in us called sanctification- shaping us in holiness and forcing us into the likeness of Christ.
Ephesians 2:8-9, John 3:16, Romans 6:23, Romans 10:9

We believe every person is created by God in His image, uniquely made as male and female and equal in value and dignity. We believe that our identity is not self-made, but received from our Creator, who loves us and calls us into relationship with Himself. Though sin has affected every part of our humanity, in Jesus we are invited to a new identity as children of God, restored and renewed by His grace, truth and love, called to love God and love others, and are being continually transformed as we grow in maturity in Christ.
Genesis 1:27-31, 1 Corinthians. 11:11-13, Romans 3:23, John 1:11-13

We believe that marriage is a gift from God, a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman reflecting the covenant love between Christ and His bride, the church. We believe that marriage provides the God-ordained context for intimacy, including sexual intimacy, companionship and mutual support. We also recognise singleness as a valuable and honourable calling through which individuals can serve God wholeheartedly. We seek to honour Jesus in every area of life, including our relationships and desires, trusting His wisdom, walking in His grace and growing together in love and holiness.
Genesis 2:18, Matthew 19:4-6, Ephesians 5:25, 1 Corinthians 7:7-8, 1 Corinthians 7:32-35
-
We believe the universal Church is made up of all who trust in Jesus Christ for salvation. With Christ as its head, the Church is a living spiritual body of believers through which God reveals His plan to bring all things together under Him, expressed through local gatherings of believers across the world who are committed to worshipping God, growing in faith, and proclaiming the good news of salvation. We believe that every believer is called to participate in the life and mission of the Church, empowered by the Spirit and shaped by the Word.
Matthew 16:18, 1 Corinthians 12:27, Romans 12:4-8, Hebrews 10:24-25

We believe baptism is for anyone who has trusted in Jesus and committed to following Him. It is a public declaration of faith - an outward sign of the inward transformation God has already brought about by His grace. We baptise by full immersion in water, following a personal and credible profession of faith. Baptism symbolises the believers union with Christ in His death, burial and resurrection.
Acts 2:38, Matthew 28:19, Luke 3:21-22, Acts 8:36-38
-
We believe that communion is for all who truly believe in Jesus and trust Him for salvation. Jesus gave us communion to remember and celebrate His sacrifice on the cross. Taking the bread and the cup is not merely a ritual but a meaningful act of worship - a time to reflect, give thanks, and proclaim the Lord’s death until He comes. We believe that the bread symbolises His body broken for us, and the cup represents His blood shed for the forgiveness of sins.
1 Corinthians 11:23-26, Matthew 26:26-28, Mark 14:22-25, Luke 22:19-20

We believe Jesus will return, just as He promised - personally, powerfully, and for all to see. At His coming, He will bring justice, put an end to evil and fully establish God’s kingdom. Those who trust in Him will enjoy eternal life - of perfect joy, peace, and unbroken fellowship with Him - The Bible calls this Heaven. Those who reject Him will face eternal separation from God a place without His presence, marked by suffering and loss - the Bible calls this Hell.
